Survivor Tree Callery Pear Flower Earrings by Michael Michaud

These Survivor Tree Callery Pear Flower Earrings were created by Michael Michaud to pay tribute to the victims and survivors of 9/11, so we might never forget this tragic event and realize the strength of our great nation. Originally planted at the World Trade Center complex in the 1970's, the Survivor Tree was discovered in the rubble weeks after 9/11 with snapped roots and a blackened trunk. It was nursed back to health by the Arthur Ross Nursery in the Bronx and was replanted at the site on 12/22/10. Today it stands proudly as part of the 9/11 memorial and has grown to 35 feet tall.
